numbers from the Gauge regularly appear in news reports, earnings calls, press releases and analysts’ research notes, giving them considerable influence over market perceptions and advertisers’ budgets
The Gauge generated headlines last year when it showed that streaming services had surpassed broadcast and cable viewing in the May report for the first time. YouTube has been the most-watched video provider on TV sets in the U.S. since February 2025, according to the Gauge.
