working with Kenzo that Moraes discovered that thinking outside the box can be essential to find exactly what you need to stand out. There, he worked on six narrative films alongside directors such as Spike Jonze, Gregg Araki, Natasha Lyonne, Carrie Brownstein and Kahlil Joseph. But it was with Sean Baker, Oscar-winning director in 2025 for Anora, that he found a differential.
Baker was young in the film market and had only worked on the movie Tangerine, a 2015 drama recorded on iPhones, at the time Moraes called him to collaborate on one of Kenzo’s films. Ten years later, he was awarded by the Academy.
“I like to think that, at that time, Sean was a person who had no dialogue with fashion. But I saw that there was an interesting point of view over there. I think that’s what we try to see, how can we call interesting collaborators who leave the normal axis of the pop world to interpret a song or clip.”
